1. How much do Pensacola fishing charters cost?
Our charter rates depend entirely on the duration and type of trip you choose (Inshore vs. Nearshore/Offshore). We offer flat-rate pricing for the boat up to a specific passenger count, which covers all your licensing, fuel, bait, and high-end tackle. 2. Are bait, tackle, and fishing licenses included in the rate?
Yes. Your trip fee completely covers your Florida commercial fishing license, top-tier rods and reels, fresh or live bait, ice, and all necessary safety gear. There are absolutely no hidden fuel surcharges or equipment rental fees added to your final price at the dock.
3. What is the passenger capacity limit for your boat rates?
Our rates are structured as a private charter for your group. Our boat can comfortably accommodate up to a maximum of 6 anglers. This legal limit ensures plenty of fishing space, individual attention from the captain, and a safe experience on the water.
4. What is your cancellation and weather policy for bookings?
Trips cancelled outside of our standard notice window receive a full refund. If the captain determines that high winds, lightning, or unsafe seas make it impossible to fish on your scheduled day, we will first try to reschedule your trip. If your schedule doesn't allow for a rain date, you will receive a 100% refund of your deposit.
5. Should I book a half-day or a full-day fishing trip?
If you are booking a family trip with young children or prefer target-rich, calmer waters, our 4-hour half-day inshore trips are ideal. If you are targeting deep-water wreck and reef species like Red Snapper, Amberjack, or Cobia, we highly recommend booking a 6-hour or 8-hour full-day trip to allow for the travel time required to reach the most productive offshore grounds.
6. Is it customary to tip the Captain and crew, and is it included?
Gratuity is not included in our base booking rates. A standard tip for a hard-working fishing guide is 15% to 20% of the trip cost. Our crew works cleanly and efficiently before, during, and after the trip—including cleaning and bagging your catch at the end of the day.
7. What should we bring along on our charter?
We provide all the specialized fishing gear. You only need to bring whatever you want to eat and drink (alcohol is permitted in moderation, no glass bottles), polarized sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray preferred), and a cooler to leave in your vehicle to transport your fresh fish fillets home.
8. Are your fishing trip rates family-friendly for young kids?
Absolutely. We cater specifically to families. Our inshore trips through Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound feature calm waters, short boat rides, and high-action fishing that keeps kids engaged without the risk of seasickness. We provide coast-guard-approved life jackets for all ages.
